Control design and simulation palette

Hi all
I've recently installed LV 8.2 professional edition on my PC.
Watching the function palette i've seen the sub-palette 'Control design and simulation' empty... Is it normal? Do i need some toolkit to see something in it?

Yes... the Control Design and Simulation Pallete is a reserved to the following toolkits (System Identification, Control Design, Simulation Module, PID, Fuzzy, SIT and State Diagram).

If you have the Developer Suite, you have access to PID and Fuzzy. If you have the Dev Suite with Control and Simulation option, you have access to the other toolkits.

Hi, same here, I installed both labview and cdsim, the palette/block diagram still doesn't appear. i have rebooted the system. i checked ni license manager it says, For evaluation only. activation required for the the licenced version. what to do?

Why would you install LabVIEW 8.2 at this point?  If you didn't, why would you say you have the same problem?

If your troubleshooting is as lazy as your forum posting, there's nothing anyone here can do to help you resolve this.

Just guessing, but maybe you should buy the licence and activate your product 😉

During the evaluation period, LV should work with the installed packages as far as I know. Maybe you already passed the eval period?

I have the same problem, I've installed the control module and also I activate it but still the simulation and control menu is empty, plz sb help me

its because the main labview is install in c:\program files , but when you install the module it will install in programfiles(x86) ,that because the **bleep**ing bug in the installation and programmers , plz fixx this , i think you have to copy paste files into the main NI labview which is in program files not program files (x86)...

If LabVIEW is installed in "c:\program files", it means that you installed LabVIEW 64bit. You should install LabVIEW 32bit, which will go to "c:\program files(x86)" and will be compatible with your toolkit.

There is nothing wrong with the installer. You simply picked the wrong product.

Do NOT copy files between the two mentioned folders. One is for 32bit applications and one is for 64bit applications (assuming you have a 64bit OS).

The toolkit is not compatible with 64bit LabVIEW (Details).
