Hello everybody!
I have LabView 2009 and I try to control my Sony DCR-SR210 camera.
I heard from a sales engineer that since LabView 2009, the driver NI-IMAQdx can also control USB devices. Is it correct?
The problem is that my camera in the "hardware device manager" of Windows is recognized as a "disk drive". Does it mean that the camera is not direct show compliant (as I read that it should be to work with LabView), or does it mean that I don't have a correct driver (I only install the CD with the camera, but it doesn't look like a driver)? How can I know that my camera is "controlable" or not? because in the help manual of the camera, there is nothing clearly said...
Does anyone had already a similar problem?
Thanks!

Hey,
Yes, since NI Vision Acquisition Software 2009 the IMAQdx driver also supports USB Cameras which have a DirectShow Filter.

With your camera you have to figure out what driver is needed that it shows up as a camera under the OS.
A good point is if the camera works with the manufacturers software and has a DirectShow Filter, then it should work with IMAQdx.
