Control thorlabs shutter SC10 - labview commands

Hello All:

i am very new to labview and want to control our sc10 shutter. i'm doing the exactly the same as the following two posts:

1: I use RS-232/ USB convertor, and installed the driver, i could see COM port.

2: i also get the read out info, i assume it communicate with the shutter.

when i input 

open?\r     \r\n or  \n

none of them work.
