Controlling motor card with NI 9472 DO module

My goal is to simply turn on/off an 24Vac Motor.  It is being driven by a card that I was originally just supplying 24Vdc with from an external PS.  The card drives about 130mA so I figured the 9472 would be plenty since it's rated for 750mA.  Everything was running fine until I tried to control the card digitally with this module.  I am able to control the signal and read 24V output from the module with a voltmeter, but when I connect everything, the module is shorting.  I followed the simple instructions for wiring, but it just doesn't work.  Would a protection diode be necessary?  I'm not sure what to do here.

I think you would have more luck posting on hardware forums like Digital I/O or Multifunction DAQ for some feedback on your wiring diagram.

Thanks for the tip, fortunately since this post I've figured everything out and my project is up and running 🙂
