Create Desktop PC Boot Disk is Disabled

In MAX>>Tools>>RT Disk utilities>> Create  Desktop PC Boot Disk is disabled. How to enable it? I'm using LabVIEW 7.1 and LabVIEW Real time module 7.1. What other softwares do I need to convert my Desktop PC as a LabVIEW 7.1 Real time target?

There are quite a few links for this on the NI Website.

Converting a Desktop PC to LabVIEW Real-Time Target

http://zone.ni.com/wv/app/doc/p/id/wv-309

Requirements for a Desktop PC as a Real-Time Target

Here's the search I did

http://search.ni.com/nisearch/main/p?q=desktop+realtime&x=0&y=0

I've never tried this myself.  But I've been interested in it for some time.  Good luck with your project.

Hi Giridhar,

Thanks for the post!

Did you work out the issue?

and does your machine meet the Requirements for a Desktop PC as a Real-Time Target?

also have you tried running the RT Compatible Utility?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have already read these links but none of them talk about how to enable the RT Disk Utilities >> Create Desktop PC Boot Disk. I have installed LabVIEW 7.1 and LabVIEW Real time 7.1 module.

Hi Giridhar,

Have you run the device drivers setup after installing the LabVIEW Real-time module? Make sure all the support options for LabVIEW Real-Time 7.1 is selected during the installation.

Hope this helps,

Cheers!
