Creating an Installer using LV8 Application Builder for OSX

Just updated to LV8 & trying to port my applications. I was under the impression (from attending the LV8 presentation in our area) that we could create an Installer that will either include or install LV engine for the users. I tried to include LV engine with my application but it did not work. Is this supported and if so what are the steps?

I'm not sure but I thought that the Application Builder/Project Manager only had Installer creation support on the Windows system. NI developed an interface to the MSI system but that is obviously a Windows only thing so in the past the Installer tab in the Application Builder wasn't available on non Windows platforms.
I haven't read that this was added for Mac OS X but maybe they did license some installation engine and add it to the project manager but I somehow have my doubts about that.

Yeah, you can certainly build an application with Mac, but no installers including the runtime engine (Windows only….).  It would be a fantastic feature though, so please feel free to make the suggestion to NI developers here (click on Feedback).  My apologies that this is not currently available.

Thanks for the feedbacks. We have been asking for this feature since LV6.x & thought that I was going to be in LV8! I will use the link you have provided to request it again...
