Has anyone out there ever had any success getting any of the crystals that come with Multisim 10 to oscillate? I've followed the tips on this forum to no success. The crystal in question is the HC-49/U_1.5MHz. I'm trying to simulate an Amplitude Modulation (AM) on Multisim my modulating the 0.5Vpk (say, voice) to a 1.5MHz squarewave (carrier), just like in a typical AM circuit. See attached circuit. Also, what I really would want is a 1MHz crystal but that isn't included in Multisim 10. Is there a way to tweak an existing crystal to give me 1MHz? The manufacturer of my actual hardware would not give me the internal LC parameters. Many thanks.
