If all you care about is type and not value, then there is a package on VIPM called GPower that might already have some of what you need. Not sure what you want for non-numeric datatypes, but they have a decent selection of constants of different numeric types, as well as the mother of all fundamental constant polymorphic VIs...

They're missing McGregor's Constant*, defined as the difference between the expected result and the observed result.

 

Just add it onto your measurement data and boom!  Perfect results!

Sadly they are incompatible with LabVIEW 2018 for whatever reason. It says "This package is not compatible with your operating system or any Labview version installed on your computer". But the tools look amaizng
