DAQ Assistant "No supported devices found" for PXI system

Solved!
Go to solution

I am trying to connect a PXI system (that contains a Multifunction RIO) to LabVIEW. When I open the DAQ Assistant in LabVIEW and go to acquire signal >> Analog input>> Voltage I am getting the message " no supported devices found". Shouldn't the IO channels of the RIO be listed here?

Hi Anupama,

usually RIO devices don't provide DAQmx functionality.

So why do you expect the DAQ(mx)Assistent to handle your RIO device?

Best regards,
GerdW

RIO stands for Reconfigurable Input Output. It is FPGA programmed using NI-RIO driver, not via NI-DAQmx.

Ok thanks. Is there any user manual or tutorial for learning about this?
