DAQ packed in (Windows 7?)

Hi,

   I set a load test running this weekend on a PC running Windows 7. The test only lasted 3 hours before a LabVIEW error stopped it. This is a test that has worked flawlessly for days and days on other machines (XP) - the only thing that I can see that is different is the OS. has anyone else had a similar problem, or can tell what this is about?

Here is the error I received.

Many thanks, Alec

Possible reason(s):

Measurements: Device not available in NI-DAQmx. It is possible that the device is being used by Traditional NI-DAQ or that the device is being reset.

After using a device in Traditional NI-DAQ, you must reset the device before using it in NI-DAQmx. For SCXI devices, you must reset the communicator DAQ device. Call the Traditional NI-DAQ Device Reset VI or the Init_DA_Brds function. To reset all devices in Traditional NI-DAQ, right-click the Traditional NI-DAQ Devices folder in MAX and select Reset Driver for Traditional NI-DAQ. If you are resetting the device, wait for the reset to complete.

Task Name: Pager 2 Button 1

Hmm, the above link seems to reference DAQ devices that have not started up. My started up find and ran for several hours, this does not explain why this happened 😞

Also, I am using DAQ-mx objects within my code, and don't understand why the traditional DAQ should be hijacking it.

alecjcook,

What is the model # of your DAQmx device?  Is this a USB?  PCI?
