Hi Mark,
The tunnel refers to the block that appears on the edges of structures (like case structures or event structures) when connecting wires through them.  

For example: normally you will have to wire both the true and the false case of a case structure.  However, if you just wire the true case and you don't want to wire the false case, then you can right click and select "use default if unwired." 

In order to eliminate the error in memory_chunk.vi, Diego wired the task out and error handling through the false case instead of using the "use default if unwired" option.  I hope this answers your question.

Thank you very much for your post -- I appreciate your taking the trouble to help.  But I still can't get it to work.  I turned off the "use default if unwired" option and wired the task out and error handling through the false case.  I just set them equal to constants in the false case, thinking that that would at least get past the compilation errors.  But the errors recur.

I'm sorry to have to ask, but could you post a corrected version of the vi?  I'm still not sure if I'm getting it.

I have a similar problem,

I try to compile the AI example for PDA (Acq&Graph Voltage-Int Clk.vi ), and I receive the next error message:

I´m atonished because I don´t know what to do. I have Instaled everything so.. what can I do?

Regarding my last e-mail,

I give more information. When I try to select browse in DAQmx Task Name control (from the example)

nothing appears. I have reinstaled DAQmx by the chance, but is the same.

What is happening?
