DAQmx does not recognize NI 9213 TC module

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

I am quite new to LabView and just tried to set up the system.

We are using a cRIO 9022 Real Time Controller with a cRio 9114.

DAQmx does recognize the Real Time controller but not the TC module (NI 9213) neither any other modules

(NI 9205, 9421, 9472).

Neither can I simulate these devices in DAQmx (V 9.0).

By the way, what exactly is meant by Real Time target?

Thanks for your Help

Patrick

This may sound like a strange fix, but I rrecently had a similar problem that turned out to be caused by the Firewall I was running blocking the NI Device Loader from communicating with NI MAX database, which it does using TCP/IP even though they are on the same machine.  The thing to look for is to see if a service called nidevmon is started and running.  When the firewall blocks it, it starts, but several seconds later it stops.  Marking the NI services as programs not to block fixed the problem for me.

Hi Patrick,

The cRIO chassis is programmed with LabVIEW FPGA and the RIO driver and is actually not supported in DAQmx.

For some more information, I suggest following through Getting Started with CompactRIO and LabVIEW.

Thanks for your help.

The Firewall was one of the problems.
