What do you mean I have killed my labview 2014 installation?
Look at your Software showing in the MAX Screenshot you provided. Do you see any Device Drivers that seem to be from the LabVIEW 2014 installation? You can sometimes get away with installing a Driver one or two versions "ahead", but four-and-a-half is too much! [My own Rule of Thumb is to not install Drivers from later LabVIEW Versions unless there is a compelling reason to do so, a very compelling reason]. Plus once you have a Later Version installed, you cannot install the Previous Version. So the only solution if you want to use the Previous Version is to remove everything and Start Over.

Three (3) is the official number from NI. So DAQmx 18 should work for LabVIEW 2015.
