DAXmx driver not installed

Hello,

I am a senior ME at Grove City College.

I am running a USB-6501 digital I/O device.

I am running Labview 2009.

I am trying to build an EXE application.  I have downloaded the Labview runtime engine on an independent computer.  When I try and run my compiled code I get a NIDAQmx error.  I believe I need to install the drivers for this device.

Can I install the DAQmx drivers from the NI website and then run my compiled code?  Or do I have to use the application builder and incorporate the drivers into my compiled code?

Thank You

You can download and install them from here.  (you could have included DAQmx in your exe installer but any way the driver installs results in the driver being installed

If you are just using a built executable, you can use the NI-DAQmx Core runtime, which will allow the executable to run and is the smallest possible download.
