DIAdem write file

I have an application wich uses Merge Signals to merge numeric data to put them in DIAdem File Write VI. But I need to acquire in a column the time and in another column the date. I’m using the Get Date/Time and Format Date/Time String VI’s to get these data, but I’m not able to put them to the DIAdem File Write.

DIAdem File Write VI can write in two different modes: Block or Channel. In Block mode, only the data is written. In Channel mode, additional time channels are create for each data channel. The input to the VI that toggles between the two options is called, "File Mode". By default, its value is FALSE, selecting Block mode. Just wire a value of TRUE to it.

But when I tried change the file mode, appears the error message "Cannot append file in channel mode", and, in this VI, I need to append these data to file.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hello,

That is true. If you read the help for the VI it explicitly tells you that you cannot choose Channel mode when appending data. In this case, I would recommend creating another channel of data that can be used to store your time information.
