DIO Port Error 21

I am not able to run an executable on a computer without the Labview Full Development Package.  I am only using GPIB and DAQ.  I installed the DAQMX ver 8.6.1 and the latest GPIB and Runtime Engine.  I initially got an error mixup with versions 7.1 and 7.1.1 (how tight is that?) but I finally got that fixed.  I now have a Labview Load Error 21 for VI DIO Port Config, Send, and Read.  These should be included since they are included in the diagram with everything else.  I have already gone to the postings to get help, but all I got was a vague reason why it occurred, but no specific solution.  DAQ used to be so easy.  Moving on, I hope we can get this resolved.

If you installed DAQmx, then you installed the incorrect driver. DIO Port Config, etc. are part of traditional DAQ (that's why the palette is named that) and you need to install the traditional NI-DAQ driver.

If you upgrade to LabVIEW 8.x, then the creation of an installer that includes hardware drivers is much simpler but you still need to know which driver you are using.

CrystalTech,

You can download the latest Tradition NI-DAQ driver from the link below. It is compatible with LabVIEW 7.0 and later.

Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) 7.4.4 - Windows 2000/XP
