Sorry, I forgot I hadn't replied. Thank you very much for your help. I managed to use the program that was posted to convert the data that we had already taken from binary files to MatLab-friendly files. It turns out the reason for the problem was that the leads of the array builder in the data capturing VI had been accidentally hooked up backwards, causing the data to be jumbled. When I reversed the leads, the problem corrected itself, so now both the bin files and the dat files contain the same data.
