Data transmission from a HP 4194A Impedance Analyzer is extremly low since updating to LabVIEW 7.1

Sumit:

Martin has not been active here in over 2 years.

If you are looking for LabVIEW drivers for this instrument, see here:

http://sine.ni.com/idnetwork/main/p/sn/n25:FH?q=4194A&x=13&y=12

The first is for LV 8, the last is for LV 7.

Hope this helps.

Hi jdownarzap2,

Could you please elaborate on what exactly you want?  Where is the array of data coming from (I assume an HP 4194A), and how is it being transferred to the PC (serial, Ethernet, GPIB, etc...)?

It is very simple.  If you want the "A" array data, send "A?" then read the data.

thanks,

One more thing ... where can I get the array of actual frequencies of the sweep?

(I would prefer to read it from the instrument rather the calculate it an assume...)

I was never able to get that info from the analyzer.  I always calculated it.  Not ideal, but the only solution I could find.
