Database Connectivity Toolkit 32-Bit only?

I get this message when attempting to install the Database connectivity toolkit which is "included" in LabVIEW professional.  Do I really have to switch over to 32-bit just for this one toolkit?

Per Missing NI LabVIEW Database Connectivity Toolkit in LabVIEW 64-Bit, you will need to use it in the 32-bit version.

You can find alternative toolkits on the LabVIEW Tools Network, some of them don't have bitness restrictions and also support RT OSes.

I've used Saphir's GDataBase for MySQL Toolkit in the past, it's great. You can also find free alternatives though.

As an update to this thread: you can now use the NI LabVIEW Database Connectivity Toolkit in LabVIEW 2019 64-bit.
