I have a remote computer which is running a data collection VI and publishing the data to a datasocket located on the remote computer (with the datasocket server running on the computer). I have a VI located on another computer which reads from the datasocket on the remote computer. Everything works great when I am running it. However when I power off the remote computer with a hard power down (just flip the switch) my program fails to read from the datasocket after the remote computer is restarted, unless I stop the program and restart it.
If I do a restart from windows on the other hand, my reading program picks right up when the data starts being written.
I have windows automatically logging on, then automatically starting the VI, whi
ch in turn launches the DataSocket Server. Basically everything is automatic, but when I do a hard power off the reading program fails to work anymore after a restart.
Any help would be appreciated.
