Datasocket Proxy STILL doesn't shutdown... even with the fix from NI

I reported a bug to NI about how their Datasocket Proxy VI did not shut down properly when exiting the DSC Engine. Anyone could easily reproduce the problem, and NI provided a fix in the DSC Fixes for both 6.0.2 and 6.1:

http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/954feaeea92d90918625674b00658b83/513aa4a0bb60d10086256b48006d44b5?OpenDocument

However, this does NOT appear to fix the problem! Am I the only one out there that actually uses this proxy to log DSTP data in LV DSC? Did NI even test this VI before releasing it?

I have downloaded the new Datasocket Proxy.vi as instructed and replaced the correct file (in both my run-time and development directory) but I still get the "do you want to abort
servers?" dialog after a specified timeout when exiting the engine.

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but can anyone out there (at NI?) confirm that this file really DOES fix the shutdown problem? Try using a simple SCF file with one DSTP tag and you'll be able to reproduce the problem.

The current version of the Datasocket Proxy Server (Vi-based Server) is on ni.com/support > Drivers and Updates

You should find the link for LabVIEW DSC 6.1:

Hope this helps
