Hello,
I'm a bit new to LabView and doing a project for Concrete Batching Plant(ready-mix), I will be designing the complete HMI and its control system.
Most of my colleagues work on InTouch(r) Wonderware and I've noticed that the HMI/Visualizations on that software are just excellent. They come pre-installed with the software. (http://global.wonderware.com/EN/Pages/WonderwareInTouchHMI.aspx)
Now, how can i design such an attractive HMI on labview?(i have seen a few good visualizations on Labview too)
Are there any graphic packs or add-ons or do I need to work on that on my own?

The DSC add-on (Data Logging and Suppervisory Control) is NI's SCADA add-on.
You don't need it of you have a source of images in jpg. png. bmp form since they can be dropped in the GUI to illustrate the process.
If you want to get fancy with those graphics (like changing pipe color depending on material flow etc) then the DSC stuff will help.
Fast forward...
If Wonderware fill all of the needs of your app, LV may not be the right tool since LV's flexibility (to do just about anything!) requires a little more work. But if there is something big missing from the Wonderware solution then LV in the hand of the right developer can do just about anything you want... but now I am repeating myself.

As for labview, Im really impressed with this software thats why i dont want to use Intouch. I was just missing the nice graphics.
