I’m beginner in LABVIEW and electronic, I’m looking for an inexpensive and general method for acquiring data from sensors and some instruments that they have analog output. I want to acquire analog input via sound card for determination its voltage. I don’t find any control for acquiring analog input without DAQ except “acquire sound.vi”. There is some problem for acquiring analog input with sound card and determination its voltage through “acquire sound.vi”. When I used microphone as input device signal properly acquire and calibrated. But, It seems sound card normalized this signal when DC voltage connect to microphone line in. There is any solution for this?
Best regards

Sound cards is what we call AC coupled. That will say they block out any DC component in the signal. The sound card is also equipped with high pass filter circuit. So they are only good for frequency's above aprox 15 Hz and up to 20 KHz.

Hello malekzadeh,
It seems like DAQ is your best option for acquiring an analog voltage and general data from sensors. AcquireSound.vi is meant to specifically acquire data from a sound device. I hope this helps answer your question. If you are interested in purchasing DAQ, please contact your sales representative. Thanks and have a great day.
