Hi Chris,
Apologies for the late reply but I have been out teaching a course.
Normally when creating an installer you get the chance to select the individual device drivers to include with your application. It looks like the problem you are having here is directly related to the way in which the drivers were originally downloaded.
You should have been able to see these individual drivers in the Additional Installers section when creating your installer. Are you selecting the National Instruments Device Drivers - August 2011 within this section? Have you tried only selecting the device drivers that you would need to run on with your installer?

Hi Marshall,
I've had a look at this and there isn't a specific selection that you can make for Device Drivers - August 2011, the only two Additional Installers I have selected are NI LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 2012 and NI-DAQmx Application Development Support 9.5.5.
Cheers

Hi Chris,
The reason you are seeing this message on your laptop is because you are trying to include the NI-DAQmx Application Development Support 9.5.5 driver with your installer. I suspect there is a conflict with where you are telling the installer to look for this part of the driver.
Could you send me a screen shot of the Additional Installers section of your Installer properties? Please ensure that the DAQmx Application Development Support 9.5.5 driver is deselected and then reselected before taking the screen shot.
Could you also tell me where you have saved the August 2012 device drivers on your laptop?

Hi Marshall,
Attached is the requested image and the August 2012 device drivers are saved here, C:\National Instruments Downloads\NI Device Drivers\Aug12.

Hi Chris,
Thank you for the screen shot. The installer source location is automatically set to C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\MDF\ProductCache for NI-DAQmx.
If you go into Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) and check "Software" branch on the left hand side of the program, is NI-DAQmx ADE Support 9.5.5 listed? Could you also check that the NI-DAQmx ADE Support 9.5.5 is within the above directory?
Thanks

Hi Marshall,
The NI-DAQmx ADE Support 9.5.5 is listed, but the directory is C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-DAQ.
I feel we are getting close!
Cheers

Hi Chris,
The installer expects the files to be within the Product Cache directory: C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\MDF\ProductCache. What folders/files are currently within this directory? Are there any DAQmx folders?
Within C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-DAQ I only have three folders at present. Would I be right in saying that one of the folders you see within this directory is the NI-DAQmx ADE Support 9.5.5 folder? If this folder is present, you should be able to transfer it to the correct C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\MDF\ProductCache directory.
Failing the above, I am sending you a link to download the latest DAQmx driver (v9.6):
http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/3423/lang/en
Try installing this latest driver and changing your installer to select DAQmx 9.6.
Let me know if you have any problems.

Hi Marshall,
Apologies for slow reply.
I didn't have any DAQmx folders in the location C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\MDF\ProductCache.
I didn't have the NI-DAQmx ADE Support 9.5.5 folder in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-DAQ.
I installed DAQmx 9.6 and there was no change, the location the NI-DAQmx Application Development Support 9.6 is pointing to is where the install was downloaded to, C:\National Instruments Downloads\NI-DAQmx\NIDAQ960f0.
I'm still getting the message about August 2011 device drivers.
Regards
Chris

I know this is the wrong year but still the situation is the same. I note that it was suggested that 'This is arguably a better way to go about installing these drivers as you may not want to unnecessarily download all of the device drivers available. '
1 You DO download all the drivers - which is 6G worth - even if you don't install them.
2 You are given a load of directories without any guide which do what - even though this is available on the DVD. I know which drivers i need - but not which directory to look in.
3 Can't think of a 3 because 1 and 2 make me so angry.
