Hello List,
My company makes a product that has the ability to communicate as a Devicenet slave.
I basically have to connect to the Devicenet port and "ping it"...just to make sure the external connector is plugged into the internal Devicenet interface.
Is there a less expensive way to do this using Labview than buying a NI-PCI-DNET card for my PC ?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
I have never used this company before, but I see that they have drivers for their CAN Adapter, they might have one for DeviceNet as well. http://www.c-a-n.com/devicenet1.html . Obviously National Instruments can't guarantee proper operation with LabVIEW, but it might be worth your time to contact that company.

Caleb,
Thanks.
I found this, http://www.huronnet.com/devcorner/DN-E100.htm, and after a conversation with the sales tech, it looks promising. (And they will take it back if I can't make it work)
I ordered one to try, and I'll post my results if anyone is interested.
Mike
