Dial numeric control - different needle lengths?

I am using a numeric dial control on my front panel and would like to have 2 needles - one long and one short.  Does anyone know if there is a way to have 2 different needle lengths?  Thanks!

Thanks so much for the help.  Your clock examples are going to save me a lot of work.  I actually wanted to make a clock out of dial control and didn't know how to go about it but your code will serve as a great template.  Thanks!
