Hi,
I have a problem using the Dialog-box: The box appears but the browsing is awfully slow or even freezes sometimes.
I realize that the problem starts when I start the hardware connection to a LAN protocol. There is an event-controlled hardware-protocol driven to a LAN-board. The timing of the hardware-protocol requires an event-time of 20ms. Could this be too short and bother the
Windows- or LabView-dialogbox ???
The dialogbox is used in a totally different context and has nothing to do with the hardware-protocol. The protocol is set up in a loop running in the background.
Can you give me information for using the event-handler in combination with a dialog-box. What are the critical timings other events in the background can run without bothering the dialogbox ??
Or could there be any other problem bothering the Dialogbox browsing ???
Many thanks for any help.
Sincerely,
skuenstler

Hi skuenstler
I'd like to help you, but to do so, I need some more Information:
Which Dialog Box do you mean?
Could you send me a Print Screen of it?
What version of LabVIEW and Windows do you have installed?
Sincerely

Hi Daniela,
thanks for your answer.
I am using LabView 8.6 and Windows XP. I tried allready several things but nothing seems to help the dialogbox-problem.
Sincerely,
Stephan

Hello Stephan
With DialogBox, do you mean a FrontPanel that is supposed to PopUp, or the DialoBox that appears when opening a project / VI?
It would be helpful for me to get a SreenShot of the DialogBox, or the BlockDiagram of the DialogBox Function.
