Hi,
Can anyone recommend a digital barometer that can be integrated with our existing data acquisition system and LabView 8.0 to provide real-time updates/readouts of the ambeint pressure?
Our data acquisition hardware consists of a NI cDAQ-9172 8-slot USB 2.0 chassis. This has three modules currently connected into it, a NI 9211, a NI 9481 and a NI 9205.
Thanks for the help.

Hi Thomas,
Vaisala builds very nice barometers ![]()
But with your 9205 you could use any barometer with a voltage or current output signal...

Hi GerdW,
Thanks for the reply - I will look into it.
Are there any NI-specific barometers/pressure sensors that would work with my setup?

Hi Thomas,
I don't think NI will supply you with pressure sensors.
There are so many companies selling pressure sensors, mostly with common ratiometric (voltage) output, so you should start a simple G**gle search...

Hi Thomas,
Vaisala devices will maybe let your budget "explode" - but they are very precise and show a fancy LCD display ![]()
As you haven't said any specifications (price being one of them) you cannot expect any more detailed hints...
Simply grab the next phone and call one (or more) of the distributors/manufactures (like SensorTechnics)!

This one you might get as a free sample. You asked for digital?
Simple consumer barometer in MEMS technology are quite cheap and many semiconductor companies have some in production.
