Hi George,

It seems to me that you have done lots of work on imaging. However, I could not view your vis since I have earlier version of Labview (6.02). How do you display different images in fixed size picture control?

Thanks again.

To display different images in fixed size picture control,
you have to change to size of images to picture control
size, then you can use Ian's VI to display the image.
I'll send me a demo in 6.x

Thank you very much, George. My LV version is 6.0.1. Do you need my email address?

Hugh,

You can download Image Resize.vi from my web page:

at bottom of the page.

George,

Sorry for taking so long to response. I was away from office a few days and came back yesterday. I tried your ImageResize.vi and obtained a error message that says that a CIN could not be located. I understtod that this CIN is needed to run this VI.

Be sure to try out the "daisy chain" function of the picture controls. You can keep adding features as necessary...just loop the PICTURE ins and outs and add what you need in layers. It's actually pretty cool.

Hi Chutla,

Where can I find "Daisy Chain" function? I am new to color imaging and have not used Picture control yet.

Best regards.

Silly Me!

It's not actually called a daisy chain....that's an old holdover from this geezers hardware days. What I mean is each picture control has a PICTURE input and output...you can loop the picture through as many nodes as you want, adding features one at a time. You can also resize the image at any step, but be sure you know how the "bounds" terminals work or you can get really strange results. When in doubt, wire the Bounds clusters together.
