Do .alias files work with vi's being run from the development environment?

If I have a vi that uses NSV's or front panel binding to NSV's using project library names will they get resolved from a .alias file if run from the DE?

NI Documentation only mentions how this will work for built exe's.

Ok I can now answer my own question...yes they do.  The alias file is found adjancent to the project file and inherits the project name.

It all works just as expected.
