Currently there is not an OPC server software package for the Linux environment. As an alternative, you could utilize the NI IA OPC Server on a windows machine and then access the Server through a network. Whenever this is done from two Windows PC's, the only factor is setting up Microsoft's DCOM properly to allow the remote connection. There appears to be something very similar to configure on a Linux machine as well. Take a look at this document for more information.
