Does anyone know why this may be happening?

Solved!

My attached program was working fine, until I moved my computer. The I/O assistant reads information from an accelerometer connected via a serial port. Since the move, the program is not being able to read the port and is giving me an error code -1073807194. However this instrument is being read via the port using Hyper Terminal and the annemometers own software. Is there anything that Im missing?

Cheers, Sam

I have had a go at going through the measurement and automation explorer, to see why it isnt working and when I try to validate it, it gives me the attached error message?

no, i just moved the same computer to a different location. I obviously had to detach all the cables out the back. Hasn't worked since then.

What is the timeout you have set? Check the cable. If it is a different pc check confirm the com port number.

Do you have Hyperterminal running? Only one application can (normally) access a serial port. So if Hyperterminal already uses the COM port LabVIEW can't access it.

close your hyper terminal If you have not done it before. You cannot simultaneously open hyperterminal and run lv vi.
