Double icons on taskbar when running a program created with application builder

Hi all,

When I create a stand alone executable with the application builder (6.i)
and subsequently run it, two icons show up on my windows taskbar. When I
click on either of them, the same executable is maximized. Why are there two
icons for the same program ? (is one of them referring to the LV runtime
engine ?). Is there a way to avoid this behaviour ?

In the ini file for your executable create a section with the same name as the executable and put the follwing key in it:
HideRootWindow=True

That will get rid of the second Task bar listing.

Just to expand on the previous answer, the ini for the vi (My Vi.ini) would look like this:

[My Vi]
hideRootWindow=True
