You need to have some patience. This type of conversion requires a LOT of steps. 8.2 -> 8.0 -> 7.1 -> 7.0 -> 6.1 -> 6.0.

See attached. You'll need to come up with replacements for the VIs that didn't exist in 6.0.

Whenever I tried LabVIEW kept crashing. I even tried LabVIEW 2011. Maybe someone else might have better luck.
