Because this is an older thread, it might be worth creating a new one to get more viability. Otherwise it looks like uninstalling and reinstalling LabVIEW was able to work for another user.

Thanks for your advice.
The error ocurred due to compatibility issues of DAQmx 16.0.1 with LabVIEW 2012. The solution was to uninstall DAQmx, reinstall Version 15.5 (the last version working with Labview 2012 according to the compatibility matrix) and reinstall further components which were needed and unistalled together with DAQmx 16.0.1 due to dependecies.
Now everything is working fine.
Reinstallation of LabVIEW cannot resolve any comptibility issue unless you do an upgrade. In my case, I unfortunately had to stay with 2012 due to customer requirements.
In future I will install the required Labview Version and all dependencies on a dedicated virtual machine which should make everything much easier.
If somebody has a similiar problem, please look first if you have an compatibility problem. You find the matrix here.
