Dymo Labelwriter 400 won't print certain controls

I've read the other forum discussions about using the Dymo Labelwriter 400, but my problem is a little different. I can to a "Print Window" from a LabVIEW window and it prints fine, but when I use the report generation VIs to print just an XY graph control it only a blank label comes out.  Yet, printing to our HP laser printer works fine with the same graph.  I've tried most of the justification options in the Append Control Image to Report VI with the same blank label being printed.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Why would you print an XY graph onto a label?

A label printer is not a real printer, so it probably doesn't have a full fledged printer driver that can handle a wide variety of graphics.  My guess is that when you use the report generation VI's, it turns images into a format that the label printer doesn't know how to handel.
