EMC filter to clean up signal from 4-20mA pressure transducer

Hello Guys

I am struggling with noise in my data. The 4-20 mA output pressure transducer goes to a SCC-CI20 conditioner in my SC-2345.

This goes to the PC where I have a PCI-6224 card.

The wires run near a 600HP AC motor necessary for the test. As soon as I turn the Motor on the signal goes to garbage.

I have grounded my shields (at PC end only), used differential inputs and have had no luck.

User:Conseils has posted to use a EMC filter at either end. Where do I ge this filter? an I make it?

Conseils also said 'terminate unused channels'. How do I do this?

I am a newbie. Any help appreciated. I just cannot get labview to work around this big AC motor.

Thanks

Marc

Hi Marc,

Maybe posting the EMC information to which you are referring would help understand the background you are referencing.  You are seeing noise in your signal that is generated by your motor.  You may either try software filtering or building a low pass filter
