ThnX Ned_kelleher 🙂
Iam a graduate student working on EEG/EMG signal analysis for prosthetic control till now i have beeen using SciLab but labview seems to be much easier;
may i know how can we perform offline analysis in labview?
It would be great if you could hlp me 😉

Hi aju,
To keep better track of issues and to increase visibility from all of our engineers and customers, we recommend and request that you post on a new forum.
If you would like to reference information from this post, feel free to reference this thread in your new post.
Thanks!

Hi:
I am new to LV. I am trying to perform offline analysis of the electromyographic signal fromthe blink reflex, but I need to condition the signal, which is quiet complex. I need to remove from the crude signal some movement artifacts. The signal is mainly composed by an EMG segment, and two bouts of activity (R1 and R2) of different duration, frequencies and amplitudes. I need to obtain a base line as clear as possible so I can rectify (absolute value) the signal and then mark the bouts of activities to perfom integration and frequenciy domain analysis. I have tried with regression fit, median filter and Savistsky-Golay, none of therm have resulted. I can not solve the problem with hardware adjustments, because I am importing the signals to work with from txt´s. Any idea, any help, sorry for the technical inconsistencies, and misspelling, I am neither engineer, nor english-speaker.

Your English is quite satisfactory.
It is best to start a new thread rather than appending to an older one. Although the topics are related your question is somewhat different from this thread. It can be useful to mention that you have looked at this thread, so people do not send you to something you have already checked.
In your new thread please be as specific as possible about the analysis you are trying to do. Most of us are not EMG experts but may know about regression or filters. How do you define R1 and R2? Are the segments manually selected bu a user or do they need to be detected automatically by the software? You say that you tried several things but "none of them have resulted." Does that mean that the program returned no results or that the results were not what you expected?
Regression, median filter, and Savitsky-Golay are quite different processes. What kind of processing is reported in in the literature in your field for what you want to do?
Please post one of your files (if they are not too large) and tell us what the data in it should produce.

Thank you Lynn, I will re-start:

Hey Lynn
See picture attached for R1 and R2
Good luck koke. I solved my problem/EMG thread months ago.

Koke,
I'd be glad to look in to this matter for you, but couldn't find where you had started a new thread. Have you had a chance to do so yet?
