Edit pallette set 8.2

Anybody have trouble editing the pallette set?  I wanted to add more of the configuration vi's (string, path etc) to th configuration file vi's pallet.  They seemed to add fine when editing, so I saved (plus there is a restore to default if any issues should arise).

When I opened the pallet, all vi's were "?".  I checked the path's and it was pointing to labview data in my documents directory.

I then went back to edit the pallette to restore to default.  It took out the added vi's, but the vi's I didn't touch are poinging to "labview data" in "my documents" directory still.  Restore to default didn't do it's job.

Any Ideas?  I just want to get this back to normal now.....help?

Thanks,
Zac

Hi Zac,

I have not seen this problem before, with the restore to default not working. One thing you could do that will probably be the quickest and easiest way to fix this would be to do a repair of your LabVIEW installation. Just put your CD in your comptuer, go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, select National Instruments Software, and then select your version of LabVIEW and click repair. This should fix anything that got corrupt or that is now pointing to the wrong place. I hope this helps!

Thanks for the response.  I ended up deleting the .mnu file and the empty llb it created when I edited the pallet and everything went back to normal.  Now I wont touch the default palletes and I only use the favorites/user palletes and have had no problem since.

Seems like this feature needs to be worked on a bit...or maybe it's just me.

Thanks again!
Zac
