Eigenvalues and vectors computation of a general matrix

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what specific numerical method the Eigenvalues and Vectors VI uses to compute the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a GENERAL matrix, real or complex?  QR? HQR? or what?

Hello Hunter,

Just so you know, 9 times out of 10 we use "the common textbook algorithm," which in this case seems to be QR.  Is there a specific reason why you are looking for this information?
