Are you working on win XP?

May be for 7 these options are there

The laptop at home is Win7,

The work PC is still XP.

I don't know if the differences in device manager are due to the OS, or due to hardware.

I doubt becasue of OS only. This problem still persists. Even power option is also different 7 and XP
