Error 1305 while installing LabVIEW 7 in VMware Workstation 4

While installing LabVIEW 7 in a clean Win2000 virtual machine using VMware 4.00, I get 'Error 1305. Error reading from file C:\WINNT\System32\ninetbrw.ocx. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.'

This happens at 'Part 7 of 11'

I tried LabVIEW 6i in a clean Win2K VM, and it worked w/o a problem.

Trying running the installer and note down what is part 7. Once you get error, it will ask you if you want to continue. Choose YES and it will install the rest of the parts.
Try running the part that gave you error directly from the CD (under "components" folder).

You can also generate log file to get more detailed information. use following command line (example for app builder.msi)

msiexec /i lvappbuilder.msi /l*v c:\lv70.log

Also try turning off Raw Access for the CD drive in the VMWare configuration options. That has been known to affect CD reads.

I was able to install w/o any errors by copying the entire CD to the hard drive first.
