LIFA is also obsolete. You should be using LINX - https://decibel.ni.com/content/groups/labview-interface-for-arduino

You should also be specifying the com port.

Asegúrate de que los cables están bien conectados y que tienes el baud rate correcto..

Como comentario adicional, te recomendaría que colocaras tu indicador de Foco Prendido dentro de tu ciclo while y evitaras escribir en una variable.
