Error -88716 - RT Connectivity Error

Dear All,

I'm sure there must some very simple settings mistake that must be happening.

I have a dual bootable PXI-8108 machine (in windows XP and Pharlap). This embedded controller has LabVIEW 8.6 RTOS.

I have another standalone machine with has LabVIEW 2010 with RT module.

Now, when I tried to connect both then I faced, -88716 problem. Later I installed the LabVIEW 2010 and the respective drivers in the embedded controller (8108). But when I am trying to connect my stand alone machine and RT machine, I am still getting the error -88716.

The MAX in standalone machine is able to detect the RT Controller and also ping with the IP address assigned.

History:

both PXI-8108 and Standalone machine contains LV8.6. The LV8.6 in the standalone machine was an evaluation version which is now expired.

Can anyone tell what could be the problem, and what should I do get them both connected. I'm able to see the PXI cards in MAX but with a cross on it and it only displays the error -88716.

hi... Can someone tell me the procedure to update the LV RT 8.6.1 module to LV RT 2010 module using an external standalone machine ? I 'm asking this in conjunction to my above post because, I have understood that the RT is still on 8.6.1 whereas the windows has actually been updated to 2010. So I am planning to update the RT also to LV RT 2010. Can you please provide me with any link or ref ? Thanks and Regards sreedhar
