Error Code during repair - Error 1618 occurred

I am having trouble loading/deleting/installing my Labview devices and drivers.  These are the February 2006 updates.

Disc 1 loaded no problem. After disk 2 was loaded, it sat an spun in the drive for 20 minutes.

Noe when I go to the control panel> Add remove programs and try to repair or remove the software I receive an installer error window that says Error 1618 occurred. Would you like to continue the operation?

Any hints on removing all of NI software so I can perform a reload?

I was trying to remove all programs at once. One at a time did the trick

Happened to me too when i tried to uninstall Labview. I had another instalation running in background after instalation finished it was OK.

Hello LabView professionals,

I am having significant issues with the various versions of LabView RunTime. I need to install version 7.1 of the runtime because a product my company purchased runs on that version. So I tried to install it, but the installer just hung. Now I am trying to remove the 2011 Run-Time I had installed so as to clean up my computer, but I keep getting this error 1618 referred to in this thread. I am not able to remove the run-time from my computer.

I am evaluating LabView for our company, unfortunately the complexity of the runtime environment, poor error handling, and installer issues, is not allowing me to move forward. Please help.

I recommend you start a new thread and reference this forum as something you have already viewed. Newer threads (especially ones with only one post) get more notice and responses from users
