My students have been using the Labview software with My DAQ, they had it working previously when they attached a sensor and a laser, they then detached the laser and attached a motor and received the following error message "201003 occurred at DAQmx create channel (DI-Digital Input) vi:2
Thank you for your help,
Brenda

So, did you read the possible causes for the error? Was there any smoke detected when the motor was connected? How/where was the motor connected?

To add to Dennis' reply:
Is it a "-201003" or really a "201003"?
If it is a "-201003", the error states:
Device cannot be accessed. Possible causes:
Device is no longer present in the system.
Device is not powered.
Device is powered, but was temporarily without power.
Device is damaged.
Ensure the device is properly connected and powered. Turn the computer off and on again. If you suspect that the device is damaged, contact National Instruments at ni.com/support.
Have you checked the suggested tests (powering off and on the device, disconnecting it and reconnect, if this does not help, reboot the PC)?
If the error persists, i would guess that Dennis is right with his assumption that the myDAQ was blown by your students.....
