This is merely a hint to developers of LabVIEW:
The "waveform" data accepts some variant additional information that is generally rarely used (e.g. not any graph shows NI_UnitDescription strings).
It would be a good idea to have some sort of "error of measurement" (or "measurement deviation") attached, e.g. as a constant and a multiplier or an additional waveform. This error should be propagated and re-calculated inside addition, multiplication etc. numerical elements, and should be displayed in graphs as a shade of final tolerance (or line width). This will help to estimate the quality of a measurement without much programming efford needed today.

Hi,
the additional information for the waveform datatype is used for the tdms file format. You can store any information within this datatype to use it again e.g. in Diadem.
May I ask you to post your suggestion here. This is our idea exchange forum where users can post and rate ideas and suggestions for further versions of LabVIEW
