Error on RT: Shared Variables Process not found.

I cannot get shared variable to talk between my computer and a cRIO.  They are connected by a crossover cable.  I am using a project example from NI that has worked previously.  All of the software is installed on the cRIO.  Nothing seems to work.  The variable manager indicates a change from the host vi, however the cRIO does not read this change.  I have tried to repaired all of the software, and reformat the RIO.

I also have noticed that the lksock.dll and nitaglv.dll along with the variables in the RT dependencies are "?".  I don't know if this will help anyone.

Which example are you using?

You would see this error if your window firewall is enabled and the shared variable is deployed to your PC (in other words, if it appears under "My Computer" in the project).  This knowledgebase contains instructions for configuring the firewall to allow shared variables:
