I have error when trying to create a new project from template LabVIEW FPGA Control on CompactRIO. I tried with LabVIEW 2014 then update to 2014 SP1. This error still happens.
Please help me with this.

Hello NTT,
I have a few questions for you.
1. What version of LabVIEW FPGA do you have installed on your computer?
2. What order did you install LabVIEW software? Did you install LabVIEW, LabVIEW Real-Time, LabVIEW FPGA, and NI cRIO in that order?
3. What specific template are you trying to open? Are you able to open an Empty Project? Are you able to open a Real-Time Project?

Hello,
I have the same problem.
1) Labview 15.0
2) Labview FPGA 15.0
Labview RT 15.0
NI RIO 15.0
no NI cRIO - is there difference between NI RIO and cRIO ? I'm not sure from the description (http://www.ni.com/download/ni-rio-15.0/5363/en/ ).
I can use FPGA and RT with no problems (myRio).
3) I'm trying to open "LabVIEW FPGA Control on CompactRIO" project template. Not even empty project is created - always finishes with the error NTT presented.
Any help appreciated or link to other similar example (PC UI, RT - able to run headless + FPGA for critical).
Thanks a lot
Josef

Hi,
I fix the problem by deleting LabVIEW 2014 SP1 and reinstall again. After reinstalling LabVIEW, I can create the template project.

Hi, This is not solution for me. I have clean LV2015 instalation. No previous versions were installed on my computer and I do not plan to reinstall complete LV as everything else is working fine.
Any other solution?

Hi pepin_v,
Starting with 2015 the NI-RIO driver has been broken up into the NI CompactRIO, NI R Series, and NI FlexRIO drivers. NI CompactRIO is the correct driver for a myRIO and for a cRIO in LabVIEW 2015. The link in your post is to NI CompactRIO, so you have the correct driver installed.
It does sound like a corrupt installation. I would recommend a force reinstall of LabVIEW. Also, make sure that all modules and then drivers are installed after LabVIEW is installed.

Hello,
so I finally fixed problem by installing "NI CompactRIO Device Drivers August 2015". I had installed NI RIO Device Drivers (15.0) which were not enough. No reinstall was needed.
Splitting NI RIO into several differend packages is a little confusing in LV 15. At least for me as everithing was working fine, except that one example.
Thanks for help and advices.
