Excel to Labview

Hello Everyone  !

  Well, this is my problem I want to make a database with Labview 6.1, but I am a begineer, it's just my first week, reading and searching stuff about this program.

My program must do something like:

  Scanning a Bar Code the program must search into the database done in Excel.  Show options if the user want to only

read the info or change values or make new entries.

 I've read a lot of articles about this topic, but when I try to make 'em, they don't work, I would appreciate any help

I personal don't have lv6 but I suppose you have in Labiew\example\comm\ExcelExamples.llb that can inspire you. Open Write Table to XL.vi and try to change properties and methods to the workbook to read (all are write) to be able to open and read an excel spreadsheet. Then the rest of work is to search into an array of data. As a beginner I recommend you to fallow as many examples from Labiew\example folder and to understand them.

  10x for your reply, i was doing that all this time, but i have a few problems when i try to make as the example does, it opens a lot of ms excel windows, last time i opened more than 100 windows when i change options it always send messages about save or cancel and then it opens again .

I'm not doing anything and i dont know how can i resolve it?

I would appreciate if you have a few exemples or a good tutorials

Again, I do not have labview 6, but I will put some pictures for you in an attachment and the library to be open only with labview 7.1.1.

I will be in vacation next time, so I can not answer anything.
